A holiday rental home on the Tuscan coastline where the rolling farmland hills meet the crystal clear beaches of the Mediterranean sea, Casa Iris offers a unique blend of comfort and charm. This exquisite residence is nested on the second floor of a 500-year-old palazzo, steeped in history and character, located in the heart of Orbetello’s historic center. Guests can immerse themselves in the rich cultural heritage of the area, with its cobbled streets and quaint boutiques just steps away, or spend the days relaxing on the various beaches, losing themselves to the beautiful surroundings.
The home boasts an eclectic mixture of design elements from various periods making it it the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway, while the nearby local markets and restaurants invite visitors to indulge in authentic Tuscan cuisine and artisanal delights.
An elegant space designed with a playful mix of Italian elements.
We worked tirelessly to completely renovate the home while respecting its historic elements. Almost the entire house features three layers of afreschi ceiling decoration added over the centuries. We hope that you will enjoy it as we do.
Lodging
Casa Iris comfortably sleeps six people, with three double bedrooms. The larger room features a bathtub and shower.
Amenities
We have a fully appointed kitchen and a luxurious salon/dining area. Each bedroom has en suite bathroom, television, heating and air conditioning.
Dining
We provide a list of the best restaurants in the area. Orbetello itself has many to offer, but there are many stunning hilltop villages within a thirty minute drive where you will find other delicious restaurants.
Beaches
Monte Argentario, which is attached to Orbetello has a wide range of offerings for beaches. There are sandy beaches, rocky beaches (where the water is clearest). Of course, renting a boat to cruise around and find your own private spot is always fun.
Area Activities
There are a wide variety of ways to enjoy your time. There is golf, horseback riding, E-bike rentals, sky diving, wind surfing or just the simplicity of an elegant beach club, a cocktail and a book. Located in southern Tuscany, you can easily visit Siena or Pisa.
Archeological Features
This is the heart of the ancient Etruscan civilisation, so there are many fascinating sites where you can learn about their culture and tour stunning burial sites. An old Roman port called Cosa is just five minutes down the coast.
